Messari: Total crypto financing in Q2 2025 will drop 20% month-on-month to $5 billion
Odaily News According to data released by Messari analysts on the X platform, the total financing of the cryptocurrency industry in the second quarter of 2025 was US$5 billion, a decrease of 20% from the previous quarter. The total amount of the six largest financing events of the year reached US$5.4 billion, exceeding the total of financing rounds in the quarter. The 10 largest financings in the second quarter raised a total of US$2.9 billion, accounting for 57% of the total financing activities in the quarter. The number of active investors fell 35% month-on-month to only 1,000, the lowest level of quarterly investor participation since the fourth quarter of 2020. Coinbase Ventures was the most active investment institution in the second quarter, participating in 25 financing transactions, more than double the number in the first quarter of 2025 (12).
